One of the key charities supported by our parish is the Sherwood Neighbourhood Centre, particularly focusing on families affected by domestic and family violent. Throughout ongoing partnership with the Centre and its director Karen Hayes, we have developed a way to provide much-needed support to these families. For the past 3 years, we have packed shopping bags filled with essential supplies, such as school items, toiletries, personal hygiene products, entertainment, and a special item for the parent, like a diary or notebook. These bags are designed to offer practical assistance while also providing a small touch of care and encouragement. This year, 2024, we supplied 29 bags to the Neighbourhood Centre for distribution. The feedback over the past three years has been overwhelmingly positive, underscoring the impact this initiative has on our local community. As a parish, we are committed to continuing this mission as long as there is a need and we have the resources to do so.
